  • 8.2% of $355 billion is $29,110,000,000 of this ten year budget will come from NY.
  • NY will pay $2,911,000,000 annually towards nuclear weapons for the ten years.
  • The population in NY in 2012 was 19,576,125. (5)
  • Each year over the next ten years, NY tax payers contribute $149 to the nuclear weapons budget.

NEW YORK’S HUMAN NEEDS

  • NY school districts require an additional $3.5 billion to meet adequacy goals. (6) *
  • NY needs an additional $1.4 billion to meet food needs. (7) *
  • NY faces a required investment of $27 billion over the next 20 years to replace aging facilities and comply with safe drinking water regulations (8) *

* Reallocated money from wasteful federal nuclear spending could assist state and local funding for such costs.
